Friday, March 12th
  • 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm:  On-site registration & traveler exchange at South Pavilion
    (N 31°28.257   W 100°30.256)
  • "Hot Dog Man" available for meal purchase near South Pavilion, ala carte menu, cash only, not included in meal ticket price
  • Silent Auction fundraiser donations accepted
  • 6:00 pm:  TC2010 Friday Night Mixer-We Got Game(s)! - GC23KN2
Saturday, March 13th
  • 7:00 to 9:00 am:  On-site Registration for Texas Challenge Event continues, Silent Auction begins,
  • 7:00 to 9:00 am:  Burrito Breakfast Event at South Pavilion hosted by WTXGA, SASP & FoSASP
  • 9:00 am:  Camp Little Cacher begins at playground area near South Pavilion (attendees will have snacks & games available along with a Longhorn & Bison tour during the Challenge)
  • 9:00 am:  Cache Container Contest entries are due at TCHQ
  • 9:15 am:  Mandatory Pre-Challenge briefing for all participants, Team Leaders receive info packets after brief
  • 10:00 am to 2:00 pm:  8th Annual Texas Challenge Event takes place
  • 2:00 pm:  Scoring team collects all scorecards and begins count
  • 2:15 to 4:45 pm:  Dash for Cache Game (location TBD)
  • 2:30 pm:  Camp Little Cacher ends, children must be picked up NLT 2:30 pm
  • 4:30 pm:  Silent Auctions ends, winners can pick up items
  • 5:00 pm(ish):  Awards Ceremony (includes results of Challenge, Dash for Cache & Cache Container contest)
  • 5:45 pm:  All You Can Eat West Texas Barbeque Event begins
  • 7:00 pm:  Night Cache Excursion (will be a gc.com published cache, lead by Skyhawk9SP)
  • 8:00 pm:  Saturday Night Fever - TC 2010 - GC248XT
Sunday, March 14th
  • 7:30 to 9:00 am:  Pancake Breakfast Social Event at South Pavilion
  • 9:30 to 11:00 am:  San Angelo State Park CITO beginning at South Pavilion

 


 

 

CACHE CONTAINER CONTEST RULES - SHORT AND SWEET VERSION

 
You may choose what to do with your container after the contest.
     You can keep you container
     You can give it away for the silent auction

Two Divisions:

Micro and below: Film canisters and pill bottles to nanos
Small and above: Tupperware (less than 1 quart) to ammo cans or larger

They will be judged on  imaginative, difficult, well camo'd, and over all creative design.

Prizes
There will be a first place prize  and second place prize for each division
                  Each first place will receive a $50 bill
                  Each second place will receive a $ 20 bill
                  Best of all bragging rights


Guidelines:
All entries must be new (Not previously hidden) 
Cache containers must be ready to hide 
There is no limit to the number of  entries.                                                               Entries will be accepted Friday evening and Saturday during the registration at the south pavilion.
All entries must be received by 9 a.m. Saturday, March 13th. No late entries will be accepted.
Contest entrants are eligible to win in more than one division.
Containers will be on display in the south pavilion as entries are received.
Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony.
